Yoga is the base of everything I do, it enables me to live a life I totally love. It has allowed me to integrate my feminine strength, find my inner voice be a leader and share my self-expression.
As a kid I was very much a tomboy. I loved being outdoors, running, climbing, getting up to mischief and I preferred hanging out with boys back then because I found them so much more active and primal than girls.
I always remember having this wild vibrant energy running through me and a deep connection and awareness of my body on a physical and energetic level.
In my early twenties the free party rave scene engulfed the UK, and my life became about raves, dance music, travelling, meeting like-minded people, creating friendships and having a good time.
I felt like I was part of an awakened movement Inspired by one love, freedom, radical self-expression and good vibes. It was a rebellious, intense, colourful time with many highs and lows and I learnt much about myself and life. This was my first realisation of wanting to be part of a unified community and I knew that I wanted to make some kind of difference in the world, although I had no clue what that was at the time.
After losing my best friend in a car accident in my late twenties, I backpacked on my own across Central and South America. I took a bus trip to Teotihuacan; the great sun and moon Pyramids in Mexico and had a spiritual life changing experience.
Whilst walking down the Avenida of the Dead, I heard the sound of a flute playing a beautiful tune.
I looked around and couldn’t see anyone there, not anywhere. I felt compelled to stop in my tracks and turned around to look back at the moon pyramid. The pyramid began to change into a three-dimensional form, a door opened up in the center of the structure, and above it was a huge white hovering glow. I sat down in the dirt staring, hypnotized in a trance like state and the flute continued to play.
This I believe was a spiritual awakening. I felt connected to everything, the oneness, my eyes and mind were now open and I could see and suddenly understand many things…
After that experience, my vision and understanding of life shifted and expanded massively; I was now walking a deeper path. A path ignited by this experience.
Bowing to my call to study yoga and the need to live somewhere warm, in 2000 I moved to Miami and began my love affair with many different styles of Yoga.
I found my first Yoga home at Synergy Centre for Healing Arts, an earthy, nurturing heart centered space just off South Beach.
What I gift I was given to find this center, I am eternally grateful for all the love and mentoring Gaia and the Synergy family gave me. I am so blessed to have trained with world-renowned Yoga Teachers and Healers whom Synergy hosted there most weekends.
I completed the Synergy 280hr RYT Hatha Yoga Program and with a thirst for more, the following year I studied Ashtanga and Power Yoga, a 200hr RYT program at The Miami Yogashala.
Also during this time Reiki Master John Latz trained and initiated me into the Usui Reiki lineage. Reiki means ‘universal life energy’ – it is a Japanese natural healing system.
John’s teacher, was trained by Mrs Takata, a Japanese apprentice master student of Dr Usui (the founder of Reiki), – what a privilege to have trained so close to the originating source.
After some years of ocean worship (aka hanging out on the beach!) I had a deep yearning be in the Mountains. It was time for my next wanderlust adventure. I sold most of my belongings and said goodbye to my cool yoga house. I brought a van, named her “Gypsy” (she was my travelling wardrobe) and off I went and traveled across the good ole USA.
I arrived in the Rockies of Colorado. The vast mountains were blanketed in glistening snow. It was breathtaking.
I decided to stay a while. At Free Spirit Yoga I discovered the tantric teachings of Anusara Yoga. I was so touched by its heart-centered playfulness of grace and flow; it really spoke to my soul.
Being an adventurer, I relocated to San Francisco to study Anusara and its Tantra philosophy in great depth.
I was studying at the well-known Yoga Kula in Berkeley whilst at the same time living above a crazy Russian Bar on Haight Street. Working just a few blocks up, teaching Yoga and giving Reiki Healings at Anusha’s Sacred Space Healing Centre.
San Francisco was full of magic and the energy was alive. I went to my first Burningman festival in the Nevada Desert in 2003. OMG my raving days could never have prepared me for this. Burningman was another life transformational experience on every wild, free, spiritual and artistic level. I had found another home and another tribe, now a life long community of close friends dedicated to celebrating life and raising the vibration of this planet.
After extensively traveling across the USA in my gypsy van I moved back to Miami. I rented a pad on ocean drive right by the beach and quickly began to build a reputation as the Wild Yoga Woman.
My classes ranged from teaching the muscle boys at Gold’s Gym to working with celebrity private clients and teaching at some of the hottest studios. My beloved sunset beach classes on South Beach were buzzing.
I collaborated with Moses Love my soul brother the founder of I Love Yoga and joined the Castle Yoga team organizing events and yoga gatherings.
The connection and support of the spiritual community in Miami gave me the courage and inspiration to bring to life my inner vision to inspire and empower women.
I created Goddess Circles for women to feel and explore the origins of Goddess Wisdom. I held performance art events and workshops to inspire women to find their own voice, vision and hearts desire. This was the beginning of Wild Empowered Woman, my life empowerment teachings for women
Having fully enjoyed a successful and abundant traveling career as a Yoga Teacher and Spiritual Facilitator I returned home to England to be with my family and create a family of my own.
I have been settled now for quite a while (the restless wanderlust holds her breath) in the gorgeous Vale of the White Horse in Oxfordshire. I live near the ancient Uffington White Horse with its powerful male and female energy ley lines and my vibrant home sits on sacred land.
During this time of grounding, maturing and parenting I have run a successful yoga studio in Swindon “The Yoga Shak” and I also opened up a beautiful space in my home for Yoga and Healing.
My latest adventure, (well honestly it’s been tapping me on the shoulder for a very long time), Is my long awaited journey into Shamanism.
Although I would consider myself a student of the Shamanic Arts, at the same time it feels very familiar – like it has always been walking by my side…
I have been training alongside a senior Shamanic Teacher, as an apprentice practitioner and future facilitator of Shamanka, a Women’s School of Shamanism with Eliana Harvey.
I have spent many years working on – transformation – mastering the body awareness and the mind. I am now ready to work on a soul level. It feels like the final piece of the development puzzle and transformational work. As I experience the work, I learn and deepen into my soul. I am inwardly and intuitively enabled to support the journey of others. I bring my Wild Soul Work to people’s lives and by supporting and empowering people and groups to grow and transform, together we contribute to the global awareness of creating love, freedom & light on this planet.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I hope you get a sense of whom I am.
If you choose –
I look forward to crossing paths with you.
Love & light.
